Elegantly sashaying around rain puddles in the streets of Paris? Sounds like Gene Kelly. Taking the plunge in an oil puddle in some noisy garage in Vienna? Sounds like Stephen Matthewsons’ Brainmanagerz. Snotty distortions, catchy tunes and great vocals - those are the main ingredients on the 5-song debut of this Vienna based band. The Brainmanagerz’ engine seems to be buildt sometime in the 60ies - it is crunching, howling, buzzing and also purring - but it was built to last. You like edgy rock carved out of pop? Gear up for this one.

Stephen Mathewson hämmert mit Eloui am Bass und den Backgroundvocals, Thomas Geldmacher an der Gitarre, Trompeter David Quigley und Dieter Preisl (†) am Schlagzeug einen kantigen Sound aus dem Felsen Noise Pop heraus, der elegant in jede Ecke rotzt.
